Conny Peto Denes
I was born and grew up in beautiful Osijek city on river Drava. At the moment I’m living in town Poreč by the sea, as happily married woman, as head of Health Center Harmony and as columnist for health for Parentium Media.
From early childhood I was rebellious with independent spirit, insisting on personal experience of truth and understanding things more than blind acceptance of the knowledge and belief received from others. I was interested in art, dance, beauty and spirituality.
By rivres Drava and Danube I observed people, their facial expressions, body postures and wondered why they are sad, angry, hunched, why they are in rush and miss the life that goes unnoticed by them... Except observing the people, there I created artworks and communicate with Mother Nature.
Biography
Until the war, to my age 13, I have every day ministered in the Church (Catholic), practicing gymnastics, dance, flower-growing and was part of the group "Little Creators".
After war, trauma, loss and death of loved ones that followed the post-war years I begun to understand patriarchal and hierarchical order within the Church and see the difference between religiosity and spirituality. At that time I received Neal Donald Walsh’s book - Conversations with God, and finally Louise Hay with "Power of Positive Thinking" and New Age philosophy. To the dismay of my family I have become a vegan, what was always natural for me, and have make a decision for complete transformation of my life. I have begin my personal and spiritual growth and development, studying spiritual and New Age literature, astrology and psychology. Mysticism and occult knowledge irresistibly attracted my attention.
After completing the first year of Economy, I stopped studies and decide to follow my dreams and my Dharma, rather than meet the expectations of others. I have chosen unexplored, lonesome way rather than well-known, more supportive.
Very soon I start practicing the transcendental meditation and yoga, and start education in fields of psychology, spirituality, astrology and natural medicine.
2006th I have established a therapeutic-artistic Association Prakriti in Vukovar, Croatia, in cooperation with the European House Vukovar and Prof. PhD Ljiljana Gehrecke on projects: Healthy and Happy Woman, Therapeutic Dance for Girls and Women, and collaborating on the project EcoSana.
At the same time, I was appointed at position of the President of the Association BOSINO (care for the elderly, invalid and vulnerable people), that was my second job, and my third job was in Osijek, I worked 2-3 days per week in Polyclinic Nado and Health Care Institution Slanovic.
2011th I have moved to Poreč, Croatia, and since then I’m head and founder of Health Center Harmony where I work as a therapist and counselor.
I’m going through my life led by the words of my decedent grandfather (who completed 3 University Masters degrees; the third he enrolled in his age of 50 – Mathematics with Physics, Law and Economy): "Knowledge is the only treasure that no one can take away from you." because of that I continuously increase my knowledge and skills.
